JOB OVERVIEW
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for handling and processing all incoming non-aviation materials, including office supplies, facility consumables, and other general goods. This role ensures deliveries are accurate, in acceptable condition, and properly recorded in the inventory system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a warehouse or facility environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect all incoming shipments of non-aviation items, including office supplies, facility consumables, and general materials.
- Verify shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders, checking for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
- Report and document any discrepancies, damages, or missing items to appropriate internal contacts.
- Accurately input received materials into the inventory or tracking system.
- Label and organize materials for proper internal distribution or storage.
- Communicate with purchasing and internal departments regarding incoming goods and any issues identified.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to ensure safe and efficient handling of materials.
- Support outgoing shipments as needed by verifying contents, packaging items securely, and preparing shipment documentation.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a receiving, warehouse, or materials handling role.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory software (e.g., Quantum or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with office and facility supply categories.
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in a warehouse or facility environment.
Job Demands:
Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
