The role: Exciting opportunities have arisen for Trainee Survey Engineers to join Fugro in Aberdeen, working within our Marine Site Characterization or Marine Asset Integrity business lines. As a Trainee Survey Enginer, while offshore you will be working closely with the team of Surveyors and Engineers to ensure all survey equipment is working effectively and data is collected efficiently and accurately. You will communicate regularly with the team onboard the vessel and when required clients service lines. If successful you will complete a 4 weeks Training camp in Plymouth where you will further develop your existing skills with a focus on Basic Survey Engineering, Fugro specific systems as well as USBL which includes comprehensive theory and practical As a Trainee Survey Engineer, you will assist with and learn the set up, testing, calibration and operation of a variety of survey and positioning systems. You'll gain an awareness of engineering, processing and marine disciplines. Who we’re looking for: You are keen to begin your career within Survey You have gained a qualification in Hydrography, Geophysical related studies or previous experience working within this area. You are good at problem solving; and enjoy tackling the technical challenges presented in survey operations. You have a proactive; can-do attitude; and are a team player.
