Description

The QEHS and Data Security Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the management Full Circle Electronics in Arizona with their Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, and Security Management Systems (QEH&S MS) including coordinating efforts to support conformance and certifications as applicable to each site. This position is responsible for helping the VP of Compliance and General Manager with facilitating a safe work environment, helps control environmental impacts, monitors quality programs, and ensures facility and customer data security.

In addition, the QEHS and Data Security Coordinator assists with the development and delivery of Environmental, Health & Safety, and Security training as needed to ensure compliance with regulations and conformance with standards, aids in writing or updating operating procedures, maintains facility security, acts as the facility Data Protection Representative, manages daily/weekly/monthly inspections, and identifies/corrects hazards, hosts and takes minutes at all QEHS and Security committee meetings, assists with continual improvement through coordination of efforts to achieve QEHS and Security objectives, and assists with corrective and preventive actions, etc.

Nature And Scope Of Position

In consultation with the General Manager and under the supervision of the Vice President- Compliance, the employee shall coordinate activities to maintain conformance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, and Security policies and procedures.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Monitor for security concerns and potential threats.
  • Designated Data Protection Representative.
  • Monitor data handling/tracking through sanitization.
  • Host external audits.
  • Maintain Compliance Calendar for each facility.
  • Ensure facility compliance with applicable local, state and federal health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare reports required by regulatory requirements.
  • Update, schedule, and conduct EHS, Quality and Security related training. Maintain training matrix and file attendance sheets.
  • Track customer complaints and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain facility security (cameras, alarm system, entry/exit)
  • Hold Monthly QEHS and Security Meeting
  • Issue Certificates of Recycling and Certificates of Destruction.
  • Work with GMs and EHS team to qualify vendors and contractors and ensure the contractor meets and understands QEHS requirements.
  • Check BOLs for materials sent to Approved Downstream Recyclers
  • Ensure that a returned and signed acknowledgement of shipment is on file.
  • Ensure the downstream is on the Downstream Recycling Approved Vendor List.
  • Track Preventive Maintenance and Calibration Schedule
  • Manage visitors/contractors, authorize entry, and applicable visitor logs.
  • Help ensure that eye wash, spill kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and PPE supplies are maintained.
  • Track percentage of specialty electronics sales.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts.
  • Coordinate records control efforts.
  • Ensure tested electronics are sold referencing serial numbers and function/condition category status
  • Conduct and/or review Security and EHS-related inspections and checklists. Inspections may include but are not limited to daily roving inspections, daily equipment and vehicle inspections, and monthly facility inspection. Report findings in a timely manner to appropriate management and ensure follow-up on inspection findings.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and injuries. Assist in determining root cause, appropriate corrective action and follow up to ensure implementation of corrective action.
  • Proactively manage respiratory program, PPE program, Fall Prevention, and LOTO program in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date system of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and assist with obtaining approval for new SDSs.
  • Assist staff with Security and QEHS concerns.
  • Ensure all waste and recyclables are handled within regulatory and standard compliance (handling, labeling, storage, and shipment).
  • Communicate Security and EHS requirements and monitor fulfillment of requirements by staff who perform work at the Full Circle Electronics AZ facilities.
  • Assists with internal audits, compliance audits, certification audits and customer audits.
  • Assist in other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree in the EHS field or a related field is preferred. Job experience in the EH&S field. Appropriate preferred technical training and certifications:
  • OHST or equivalent
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • R2 Standard Training &/or operational experience
  • ISO 9001 Training &/or operational experience
  • ISO 14001 Training &/or operational experience
  • ISO 45001 Training &/or operational experience
  • Skills requirements
  • Ability to implement regulations and standards’ certification requirements
  • Ability to enforce policies/procedures in a professional manner
  • Ability to maintain and organize records and documentation
  • Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing/de-manufacturing operation with large-scale equipment (baler, forklifts, pneumatic tools, etc.)
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work individually or in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Spanish fluency a welcome addition
  • Methods, procedures, software, tools and equipment requirements:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Typical use of office equipment, computers, phones, fax, calculators, etc., as necessary
