The Opportunity
The Academic Coordinator is responsible for organizing the master schedule, providing roster updates to Teachers and team leaders, and maintaining the official rosters and student records. The Academic Coordinator also visits classrooms, offers instructional coaching and model lessons for teachers, and facilitates common planning time effectively implements the round mode for instructional coaching. Additionally, this position is responsible for completing all required standardized testing, monitoring grade books, and acting as a liaison between the school and outside agencies, families, and community partners.
Education and Experience
Licensure/Certification:
An Instructional Certificate in a specified content area or a letter from a certification officer stating that all course work leading to such certification will be completed within 90 days from the date of application from the State Department of Education in which the program operates
or
An Intern Certificate in a specified content area or a letter from a certification officer stating that the applicant will be issued an Intern Certificate within 90 days from the date of application from the State Department of Education in which the program operates,
or
A current instructional certificate in a specified content area from a state other than the program's state. If you are not certified in the state in which the program operates, you should immediately contact the Bureau of Teacher Preparation and Certification to start the process.
