What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Club Assistant position at Fulton Family YMCA?
We have a varitey of shifts in the Kids Club program. We are looking for coverage M-F 9:00am-12:00pm, 12:00pm-4:30pm or 9:00am-4:30pm with flexibility for PM shift coverage as needed. Working with children ages 6 weeks to age 10 in an engaging and active environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- ∙ Create and maintain a physically and mentally safe environment.
- ∙ Oversee supervision of all children; ensure that children are never left alone; assure children are watched at all times. Ages 6 weeks to age 10
- ∙ Establish positive relationships with parents, children, volunteers, and other staff members; be a positive role model.
- ∙ Oversee and provide positive reinforcement and redirection of children.
- ∙ Provide outstanding customer service by addressing customers concerns and implementing feedback.
- ∙ Adhere to policy for child check-in and checkout procedures, as well as pre- and post-shift room procedures.
- ∙ Engage children in quality, age-appropriate activities and programming. Provide input in planning, participate in preparation and implementation of monthly calendar of crafts and activities.
- ∙ Maintain supplies, and supply requests under the direction of the Family Director.
- ∙ Maintain housekeeping in the Kids Club Room and adhere to the Daily/Weekly/Monthly Housekeeping Checklist.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
