Functional Training Services is a private Vocational Rehabilitation Agency serving the Central Ohio community for over 30 years, and we're hiring a full-time Training and Assessment Specialist in our Columbus office!
This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Work will primarily be at the Columbus location with work periods at our Delaware location as well.

This position is responsible for training and support services of participants assigned in accordance with their program service plans. This can include but is not limited to:
- Assists participants to learn assigned work tasks while following their program plan.
- Observes and documents task skill and behavioral development and progress.
- Creates daily plans, trains job tasks, gathers and analyzes participant performance data to ensure and encourage plan progress.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education/work experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and Internet Research.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
- Pass a driving record check, drug screen, and acceptable BCI/FBI background screening.
The position will mainly be onsite mainly in Franklin county with some travel and work in the community including Fairfield, and Delaware counties.
Must be able to use critical thinking and problem solving, be an advocate for the participant when needed, work with a diverse group of people, and understand/learn reporting accuracy and timeliness.
