What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Surveyor position at Fusion HCR?
Our client is a reputable Environmental, Geotechnical, and Civil Engineering firm serving the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Licensed Surveyor to support private and public sector land development projects in Eastern North Carolina. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of surveying techniques, principles, and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
- Prepare plots, maps, and reports of the survey results, and share them with clients and government bodies.
- Utilize GPS systems, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment to ensure accuracy of measurements.
- Collaborate with team members during the land development process necessary.
- Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of North Carolina.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land surveying.
- Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment, including GPS systems, 3D laser scanners, and total stations.
- Working knowledge of survey software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
