POSITION TITLE: Paste Packaging Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Packaging – Plant 2

SALARY: $17.69/hour

SHIFT: 1st Shift Only - 6:30am to 2:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

Remix, dispense and package paste for brazing and soldering alloys.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Setup mixing, automatic dispensing, scales, and other equipment.

· Stage packaging containers and cartons as needed.

· Remix paste and visually check consistency and appearance.

· Ensure paste type and batch identification are correct for each order.

· Prepare labels with correct material type, batch and coding.

· Pack paste into containers to target weight, seal containers and label correctly.

· Package paste containers into appropriate shipping boxes/cartons and palletize if required.

· Create shipping documentation and stage material for shipment.

· Clean bowls/beaters and other equipment as required.

· Operate forklift.

· Commit to following the Quality Policy established procedures and guidelines as required by ISO 9001:2008 standards. Seek opportunities for continuous process improvement as a commitment to the Quality Policy.

· Adhere to prescribed safety rules and regulations.

· Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Strong math, elementary algebra and conversion skills.

· Ability to lift and move heavy objects manually or with equipment such as hand forklifts.

· Ability to operate fork lift truck.

· Able to read and understand written instruction.

· Maintain accurate, legible paperwork.
