Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our security team. This role is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats, leading incident investigations, strengthening security controls, and supporting risk mitigation efforts to protect enterprise systems, networks, and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and analyze alerts to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Lead security incident investigations, response, and remediation activities.
- Perform security audits in cloud environments to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Evaluate and enhance security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and application teams on security initiatives.
- Support compliance requirements, audits, and regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain documentation for incidents, controls, and audit findings.
- Stay current with emerging threats, tools, and security trends.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity (candidates with 10 years may be considered overqualified).
- Strong experience conducting security audits in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid knowledge of threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- One or more of the following certifications:
- CompTIA Security
- SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SIEM tools, EDR/XDR platforms, and security monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, or similar security frameworks.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOX.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, onsite-focused environment.
