Futaba Industrial Texas is a leading manufacturer committed to excellence in safety, quality, and innovation. We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated Welding Supervisor to lead our team and drive continuous improvement in our production processes.
As a Welding Supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind our welding operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Champion safety by enforcing regulations and leading corrective actions.
- Conduct audits (safety, process, Kaizen, etc.) and lead emergency response efforts.
- Oversee process quality, including start-up checks, scrap/rework analysis, and quality meetings.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives using 8-step methodology.
- Monitor shipping schedules and inventory to support production planning.
- Motivate, coach, and develop team leaders and welders.
- Manage daily shift operations, manpower allocation, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure accurate reporting of production, maintenance, attendance, and incident investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement and training initiatives.
- Promote a clean, organized, and efficient work environment through “Broken Window” activities.
- Utilize and enforce the Plex system for operational tracking.
- Support FIT’s Environmental Policy and sustainability efforts.
- Must be able to work a Monthly Rotation Schedule.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or welding environment.
- Experience with PLEX Manufacturing Cloud Systems.
- Strong understanding of welding processes and quality control.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead by example.
- Familiarity with production systems and KPIs (OA, Scrap, etc.).
