Electrodialysis Engineer - Full-time
Location: Austin, TX
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with principles of electrochemistry, wet chemical, electrical, membrane separation, and water treatment processes.
- Experience with laboratory techniques and equipment for water quality analysis and testing is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
- Assist in designing and developing electrodialysis systems for water treatment applications, such as desalination, brackish water purification, or wastewater treatment.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and tests to evaluate the performance of electrodialysis membranes, ion exchange resins, and other components.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize electrodialysis processes, including flow rates, voltage gradients, and membrane configurations.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and improve system efficiency.
- Support pilot-scale or field-scale testing of electrodialysis systems, including installation, operation, and monitoring.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate research findings and project updates.
- Perform other engineering tasks and support the electrodialysis engineering team as needed.
