Purchasing Team Leader
The Purchasing Team Leader plays a vital role in managing the performance and quality of the Purchasing Team's operations. This position is essential for successfully procuring materials that align with production plans and demand forecasts. Collaborating closely with Commodity Managers is key to managing our supply base effectively.
Responsibilities :
- Act as the subject matter expert for the buying team, directing and guiding their daily activities and special projects.
- Lead a team of Buyers to enhance material availability, eliminate production shortages, and optimize inventory levels.
- Enforce established purchasing policies and procedures to ensure efficient utilization of resources while working collaboratively with the Purchasing Manager to drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for the Buyer team and cross-functional personnel on critical issues and decisions necessary for daily operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to anticipate material demands and forecast purchasing needs to meet customer and business requirements.
- Support Buyers in implementing supplier development programs and managing supplier performance through scorecard maintenance and communication.
- Work closely with Commodity Managers to align on forecasts, inventory strategies, costs, and assist in managing the existing supply base.
- Negotiate pricing as necessary with support from Commodity Managers, and take the lead on resolving contract discrepancies while evaluating supplier performance for process improvements.

What we offer :
Typical pay ranges from $81,900 to $106,500 annually, adjusted based on skills and qualifications. This position also qualifies for our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program.
