What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Dietitian position at GA Foods?
GA Food Services of Pinellas County, LLC is seeking a Clinical Dietitian. The right candidate will be located in the Pacific Time Zone or willing to work during PST hours to accommodate our west-coast clients. This role will be responsible for completing nutrition assessments of referred members via phone consultation, including full assessment, recommending diet and follow ups, recording notes in ERP, uploading required documents, communicating needs with our care center and scheduling follow up appointments with members. It will also be responsible for post consultation and recommendations for any member's needs and diet recommendations.
Clinical Dietitian Essential Functions:
- Provides medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for the patient population.
- Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
- Manages and updates scheduling applications used by the care center to schedule appointments.
- Participates in team meetings to troubleshoot Nutrition Care and Education Program. E-mails record of completed members for end month counts.
- Mails educational materials when appropriate to members.
- Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, and patient rights policies.
- Work closely with Culinary, Quality and Operations to ensure effective diets recommendations specific to segments within GA Foods are available
- Participates in member satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
- Develops and revises GA nutrition care plan based on information from the member.
- Demonstrate leadership that promotes and embodies GA Foods' Core Values.
- Plays an active leadership role within the organization, and promote a culture of success, pride, performance, integrity, accountability and innovation.
- Adheres to company confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
Clinical Dietitian Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics from an institution with an accredited program is required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish - Strongly Preferred
- Registered Dietitian - required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare nutrition management required.
- Requires diplomacy and ability to interact with others, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Keeps abreast of new trends and developments in the area of nutrition and utilizes this knowledge in current practice.
- Proficiency with software applications such as: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP - required.
