GAC Enterprises, LLC, a leading telecommunication construction company based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Horizontal Directional Driller to join our team in our North Carolina market. As a Horizontal Directional Driller , you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used for underground utility installation and drilling horizontal bores.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Provide HDD drill head location services for the HDD Operator around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projects
- Maintains company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines
- Experience working on the right of ways in all weather conditions
- Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision
- 6 years of prior experience operating directional drilling equipment and locating utilities
- Strong knowledge of underground construction practices and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
- Knowledge of utility locating equipment and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CDL license preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to work during weekends and holidays, as needed
- Travel required
