Breakfast Cook

Gaido’s Seaside Inn is looking for a qualified individual to work as a breakfast cook. Candidates must have prior experience in kitchens as well as be able to multitask. The breakfast cook will be responsible for product inventory, restocking inventory, and cleaning the kitchen and breakfast bar areas. All candidates must be well versed with Health Codes and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all breakfast items needed for breakfast that day
• Follow provided recipes
• Set up the workstations
• Proper storage of ingredients
• Maintain, stock and sanitize all breakfast stations (waffle, cereal, coffee, tea etc.)
• Check inventory for the following day

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Must have or be able to obtain a Texas Food Handlers Certificate
• Prior experience in preparation, cooking, and following recipes preferred
• Follow all sanitation regulations and health codes
• Excellent communication skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
