What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Galaxy Service Partners?
Project Coordinator
Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 base discretionary bonus
Schedule: Onsite preferred (hybrid may be considered)
About the Role
We're looking for a Project Coordinator who can own the front-end coordination of awarded projects and ensure a clean, organized handoff into execution. This role focuses on documentation, communication, and internal alignment once work is awarded—setting project managers and field teams up for success.
You'll work closely with estimators, project managers, vendors, and general contractors to confirm scope, track requirements, and maintain accurate project records. This is not an entry-level admin role—it requires strong attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort working in a fast-moving construction environment.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in commercial or overhead doors (or a related trade) who enjoys organizing complexity, managing details, and keeping projects on track behind the scenes.
What You'll Do
Coordinate awarded projects from handoff through execution readiness.
Review scopes, drawings, contracts, and project requirements for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and organize project documentation for project managers and field teams.
Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external partners during early project stages.
Track timelines, submittals, and outstanding items to prevent delays.
Support project managers with scheduling coordination, materials tracking, and administrative needs.
Maintain accurate records in internal systems and ensure consistent documentation standards.
Work onsite as needed to collaborate with operations and project teams.
What We're Looking For
3 years of experience in commercial construction, overhead doors, industrial doors, loading dock equipment, or a related trade.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Comfortable working with technical drawings, scopes, and project documentation.
Reliable, consistent, and committed—someone who stays long enough to master the role and build trust.
Clear communicator who works well across operations, project management, and external partners.
