Key Responsibilities:
Tool Build Planning: Develop and implement detailed tool build plans for basic tools independently and assist in planning complex tool builds with guidance from a Senior Planner.
Data Management: Perform essential functions in Global Shop Solutions, including data entry, job router updates, and maintaining accurate records.
Model Analysis: Review and analyze models using Catia V5 and Pro E to support tool build plans.
Material Understanding: Comprehend and apply knowledge of Bill of Materials and various materials used in tooling to plan effective tool builds.
Manufacturing Techniques: Utilize basic manufacturing techniques to create comprehensive start-to-finish build plans for tools.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless tool planning and execution.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve planning processes and efficiency.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior planners or team members as needed.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality and accuracy in all planning activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years working in an aerospace manufacturing or custom tooling environment
- Proven knowledge of production processes and quality control
- Basic knowledge of operating computer software, including Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with Global Shop Solutions, Catia V5, and Pro E is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers and management.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all planning tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
