Route Service Supervisor

Summary:

The Route Service Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of Gallagher Uniform products and services to customers. In this leadership role, this person is expected to meet team performance goals and control team costs. The Route Service Supervisor must consistently maintain and represent a professional image for Gallagher Uniform through excellent service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Train Route Service Representatives so that they can function effectively in their respective role.
• Insure that team members are adhering to all company policies.
• Establish sales growth programs for uniform and non-uniform accounts.
• Establish an annual budget and review mid-year.
• Establish team goals and objectives on an annual basis.
• Establish standards of productivity, quality and maintenance, and manage the team to meet these standards.
• Manage team costs - labor, overtime, truck lease and fuel.
• Schedule route delivery in the most efficient and timely manner and insure that value is delivered.
• Respond to all customer requests and deliver prompt, best-in-class service.
• Process new accounts in conjunction with Sales, Production and Customer Service teams.
• Maintain and enhance positive relationships between customers and Company.
• Oversee non-garment contract administration and renewals.
• Record and monitor measurements for Administrative Control System.
• Insure compliance with USDOT regulations.
• Insure proper maintenance and appearance of all vehicles.
• Perform random route audits at a minimum of two times per week, per route.
• Perform daily route debriefings.
• Establish and approve vacation and personal leave for all team members.
• Complete and communicate performance evaluations for all team members.
• Encourage teamwork takes place between respective teams.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Chauffer’s license is required and a driving record that meets Gallagher Uniform’s insurance carrier standards.
• Must be able to obtain and keep a 1-2 year DOT card if offered the position. 
• Requires 1-3 years of leadership experience and demonstrated customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access applications is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others within and outside of the department.

Salary : $65,000 - $71,663
