Description
The Production Crew Chief/Team Lead is responsible for leading employees, following scheduled work activities, ensuring quality of workmanship, training and educating employees on safety guidelines, and operating/maneuvering production equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Follow verbal directions from foreman and managers
- Direct work activities of assigned area
- Ensures all equipment is functioning and following production guidelines
- Is knowledgeable of the process and ensures all applicable standards and specifications are being met.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and other tools/equipment as needed
- Ensures employees maintain a neat and orderly working environment
- Recommends measures to improve production methods and quality of product
- Motivate workers to achieve goals
- Understands the importance of quality and quickly identifies and correct issues related to quality
- Must have willingness to get “hands on” with their team
