A leading AmLaw firm is seeking an Environmental Litigation Attorney to join its Washington, D.C. office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide spectrum of complex environmental litigation, regulatory, and compliance matters within a highly regarded government and regulatory practice.
What You Will Do:
β’ Handle environmental litigation, including agency challenges under the Administrative Procedure Act
β’ Work on matters arising under key environmental statutes, including the CWA, NEPA, ESA, and CERCLA
β’ Support environmental due diligence and risk mitigation for corporate and real estate transactions
β’ Advise clients on compliance matters involving RCRA, CAA, TSCA, FIFRA, CWA, CERCLA, and related state laws
β’ Assist with environmental enforcement actions, climate disclosure, and ESG-related matters
β’ Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams serving clients in the energy, chemicals, transportation, and other regulated industries
What We Are Looking For:
β A licensed attorney with 2 to 4 years of experience in environmental law, litigation, or regulatory matters
β Experience with environmental statutes and administrative law challenges
β Prior private practice or in-house experience advising energy, chemical, or transportation clients preferred
β Strong academic credentials with excellent legal research and writing skills
β Ability to manage diverse matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
β Admission to the D.C. Bar or eligibility to waive into the D.C. Bar
