Job Title: Janitor

Job Summary:
Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean facilities or sites.
- Walkthrough /monitor building premises to ensure occupant or visitor safety.
- Clean building walls and flooring.
- Dispose of trash into receptacles.
- Clean equipment and/or supplies.
- Clean furniture and fixtures.
- Coordinate with program manager to schedule maintenance or cleaning activities.
- Maintenance activities: wall patching, painting, minor plumbing, hang pictures/boards, signs, curtain tracks/rods, mini-blinds, shades
- Assists in preventative maintenance
- Select equipment, materials, or supplies for cleaning or maintenance activities.
- Keeps storage areas organized
- Remove debris from work sites.
- Move furniture as needed.
- Maintain equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Snow removal and maintain sidewalk/s during inclement weather.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School/GED 2 yrs. experience.
- Minimum one years’ experience
- Valid driver’s license and must meet the agencies requirements for driving history records.
- Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
