Medical Assistant and Scribe (Dermatology)

Ganger Dermatology is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for pre-med, pre-PA, and other future medical professionals to join our dynamic team as a paid Clinical Intern. Our highly sought after paid internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in the field for students interested in pursuing dermatology as a specialty.

To qualify for an internship with Ganger Dermatology, you must be on a pre-med or pre-PA track. Nursing students may also be considered.

As an Intern with Ganger Dermatology, you will:

Assist and partner with Providers: You will work alongside our physicians assisting with patient examinations and treatments.

Provide hands-on patient care: This includes preparing patients for examinations and procedures, collecting health histories, updating patient records, educating our patients, and prepping exam rooms.

Learn the invaluable skill of medical documentation: Scribe each patient visit in partnership with our Providers using an electronic health records (EHR) system.

Participate in high level consultation and communication in a professional atmosphere: Effectively communicate patient concerns and needs to healthcare providers and answer patient questions. Collaborate with our clinical team members to provide an outstanding patient experience.

Gain competency in administrative tasks: Support the entire function of our clinic by performing clerical support.

Learn and perfect technical skills: You will play a critical part in clinical procedures like full skin examinations, suture removal, blood draws, injections, and mixing/applying medications.

Additional information:

Our interns work at least 2 full-day shifts, beginning between 7:30 and 9AM, and ending between 4 and 6PM.
Pay rate for this internship opportunity is between $12.50 and $15.00.
Ideal candidates will have special interest in dermatology and skincare.
