Teaching Assistants work collaboratively with faculty and colleagues to assist faculty with teaching related duties. The Teaching Assistant must maintain student confidentiality, display initiative, practice fair-mindedness, and be flexible with work requirements.
Responsibilities
Most of the teaching assistant’s primary duties are in support of instruction including but not limited to the responsibilities below:
Successful completion of all foundation courses and 9 credits of post-foundation MSCIS program with strong progression.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tutoring or teaching role in undergraduate education.
Physical Demands
Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy academic environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist during class and/or lab. Teacher Assistant must be in the class/lab assigned.
- Assist preparing and posting instructional materials, proctoring exams
- Grade student assignments which require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or laboratory
- Meet with and/or tutor students on request of faculty
- Critical Thinking: Multi-task well in a fast-paced autonomous environment.
- Professionalism: Prioritize and complete tasks to accomplish organizational goals.
