Duties
The NeMLA Graduate Assistant would support NeMLA’s executive director and associate executive director on a variety of administrative work. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Preparing content for the newsletter (including researching, writing, editing, and coordinating with contributors),
- Researching and gathering information to support executive decision-making (e.g. best practices and programs, comparison and review, history of the organization, tracking and organizing documents and information, research new ideas/concepts, etc.),
- Assisting with the annual convention (logistics, set-up/breakdown, operations, and possibly coordinating other staffers),
- General office work (e.g. filing, printing, scanning, campus deliveries, organization, inventory),
- General communication between the association and its members and officers or board of directors,
- Preparing documents,
- And other special projects and duties as assigned.

Physical Demands
- Should be able to bend, lift, push and pull to assist with moving boxes and supplies in various areas throughout the Palumbo Academic Center.
- May be asked to lift up to 30-50 pounds.
- May be asked to transport items across campus or to load items into a vehicle.
- May be asked to travel to convention location in another city and to assist in set-up and breakdown of posters, projectors, tables, etc.
