We are seeking a Vice President Of Operations to become an integral part of our team! You will coordinate and oversee the organization's daily operations. The VP will actively collaborate with the owners to optimize processes and provide insights that will drive sales across all channels of the business. This role must continuously seek out initiatives that will increase sales and further the Company’s overall strategic direction.
Requirements
· Must be available to work weekends and flexible hours if needed
· Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
· Previous experience in operations or other related fields
· Strong project management skills
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Strong leadership qualities
· Tech savvy with various computer programs
· Experience with Fishbowl Inventory System preferred
· Experience with Account Management preferred
· Experience in Purchasing and Management preferred
· Experience in the Furniture and Accessories Industries preferred (Experience in Art or Design also a plus!)
· This is a full-time role
· Options for some remote work also available
Responsibilities
· Lead and refine operational practices to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Will manage team to meet and monitor important deadlines
- Track and forecast operational trends and sales analysis
- EOM reporting
- Provide daily internal operations oversight
- Launch, integrate, and train team on new systems
- Play a key role in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes to ensure a solid and high-performing team.
- Formalize policies and procedures in accordance to HR regulations
- Oversee the performance management process, including conducting performance reviews and addressing any necessary actions such as terminations or promotions.
- Creating schedules, expectations, and job descriptions for employees
- Assist in training new team members, ensuring they are driven and always growing
- Lead weekly/monthly meetings with team
- We review what’s going, get a pulse on the teams, feedback, any other topics that we need to discuss with the team.
- Break away meetings with each group to get feedback, find out what is needed and what we need to work on.
- Working with management to create company policies: monitor employee conduct and other various policies (PTO, holidays, overtime)
- Work with Inventory Manager on any issues with scheduling and quarterly inventory counts
- Create/update Company manuals
- Trade Show Coordination
- Customer Relations and Marketing:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key buyers and vendors
- Stay updated with industry trends and market demands, strategizing in line with these trends.
- Play a significant role in finding and pursuing new key accounts for business growth
- Work with management to develop sales tools and templates
- Handle pricing and quoting for customers
- Focus on reaching the top 100 targets, update the target list, and pursue new accounts for business growth
- Cost Maneuvering:
- Find creative ways to decrease costs and increase efficiency
- Always find the best way to work with materials and local vendors (updating terms, adding more service for the same price, or finding new vendors)
