Location: Garden Remedies (Melrose, MA)
Job Overview:
Garden Remedies is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain inventory levels at its retail location. This role requires regular travel to Newton, Melrose, and Marlborough each month. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with the Dispensary Inventory Manager and retail staff to ensure both digital and physical inventory compliance, leveraging systems like Dutchie and METRC. This position is critical for maintaining compliant inventory practices in line with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations for both medical and adult-use cannabis. Your efforts will be vital to ensuring the smooth operation and regulatory compliance of our retail locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Adjust inventory levels in Dutchie daily.
- Track and monitor Garden Remedies inventory to ensure compliance with expiration guidelines.
- Review incoming manifests in METRC and Dutchie for accuracy.
- Ensure all products have barcodes for POS sales.
- Maintain First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory management practices.
- Manage inventory movements between licenses.
- Prepare manifests for products being returned to the production facility.
- Assist with month-end inventory counts at all retail locations and investigate discrepancies.
- Create all 3rd party SKUs in Dutchie.
- File all 3rd party Certificates of Analysis (COAs) on the network drive.
- Enter incoming apparel and accessories into Dutchie
- Perform weekly accessory counts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass all background checks as mandated by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Capability to often lift and store products, sometimes up to 50lbs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and standard office equipment (computers, scanners, printers).
- Broad understanding of inventory management principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be part of a cohesive team and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
Supervision:
- Reports to the Dispensary Inventory Manager.
Travel Requirements:
- Must travel monthly to Newton, Melrose, and Marlborough locations.
