Mental Health Specialist or Therapist - Criminal Justice Program

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill a Mental Health Specialist or Mental Health Therapist position. Placement into the the appropriate position and salary is determined based on qualifications. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week positions in the Criminal Justice/ Full Service Partnership Program in the Adult/Older Adult Division of Gardner's Behavioral Health Department. The positions are based out of the Corporate Offices located at 160 E Virginia St, San Jose, CA 95112.Under supervision of the FSP/CJP Program Coordinator, the MHS/MHRS/MHT will provide assessments and related psycho-social services to children, adolescents and their families. The Criminal Justice/Full Service Partnership Program provides men and women involved with the criminal justice system with intensive treatment and support services to enable them to function successfully within their community.

Gardner Health Services is now offering hiring bonuses for qualified Mental Health Specialists and Mental Health Therapists! Mental Health Specialist with a Bachelor’s Degree will receive a $2,500 bonus and Mental Health Therapist’s with a Master’s Degree will receive a $5,000 bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

MHS- BA degree and at least three (3) years of experience and/or AA degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience.

MHRS- BA degree plus four (4) years relevant experience and/or AA degree plus six (6) years’ experience and obtain a mental health rehabilitation specialist counselor certification from the County of Santa Clara.

MHT I- Must be registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) with proper proof of registration and have obtained an effective Waiver of Licensure from the Santa Clara Department of Mental Health.

MHT II- Master’s Degree and active licensee with the California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) as an LMT, LCSW, or LPCC

Compensation:

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.

MHS/MHRS: $62,420.27 - $72,362.20/Annually

MHT I: $74,331.90 - $86,171.04./Annually

MHT II - $85,720.33 - $99,373.35/Annually

MHT III (PHD, Unlicensed) - $85,462.51 - $99,074.47/Annually
