JOB Description

Job Summary:

Oversee inbound and outbound packages. Communicating and coordinating with customers service/project managers, vendors, and trucking companies for both domestic and international shipments. Prepare shipping documents and ensuring shipments are physically shipped and processed in ERP. Work with team on carrier selection / quoting. Ordering from suppliers who provide outsourced material and shipping supplies.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

· Release the shipping paperwork to fulfill customer orders (pick lists, shippers, packing lists & Bill of Lading, etc.).

· Work with freight carriers for quotes, claims, pick-up and deliveries.

· Expedite orders thru the production, picking and shipping.

· Place POs for Outsourced Supply and Shipping Supplies.

· Back up UPS Station.

· Work with Receiving on RMA/Freight Claims

· Assist Managers with the scheduling of structural jobs.

· Maintain Driver Check-In log

· Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.

· Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.

· Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.

· Building relationships with strategic customers and transportation vendors through logistics initiatives.

· Assist with carrier selection, contract negotiations, contract management, and contract compliance measurement.

· Other duties, as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma, GED equivalent, required with appropriate work experience.

· Intermediate PC skills, including Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems.

· Prior customer service.

· Must be organized and detail oriented and enjoy a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service minded environment.

· Must have excellent verbal and written communications and organizational skills.

· Must display sense of urgency, ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail.

· General knowledge of freight, imports, exports, and proper freight handling techniques.
