Gassen Construction and Maintenance is seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our expanding team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across properties in the Twin Cities area. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on building fixtures, including but not limited to lights, locks, doors, gutters, drains, decks, siding, and minor roofing.
- Handle carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, and minor electrical work to maintain building safety and functionality.
- Patch, sand, and finish drywall with precision.
- Conduct light HVAC tasks such as filter replacements and basic troubleshooting.
- Use a mobile database to manage schedules and update daily task progress.
- Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor to provide updates and resolve open work orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance or related fields.
- Proficient in using hand tools and equipment.
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
- Ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation every 4-5 weeks, responding to phone calls within 10 minutes and handling in-person emergency maintenance within 1 hour.

Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 9-10 hours per day.
On-call rotation every 4-5 weeks (on-call duties typically require fewer than 3-4 hours per week).
Job locations are distributed throughout the Twin Cities area.
Physical Demands:
- Heights, ladders, and confined spaces
- Uneven walking surfaces, stairs, and exposure to dust, gas fumes, and noise from power equipment
- Working in varying weather conditions and temperature changes
Safety equipment will be provided. Candidates must be able to navigate properties quickly and efficiently, including climbing stairs and accessing common areas.
