Payment Posting Specialist

We are currently searching for a full time (Monday-Friday) Payment Poster who can work cooperatively with team members and physicians while performing a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Processes primary and secondary insurance payments from carriers via electronic EFT and manual paper remittance
- Investigates and prepares refunds to both patients and insurance accounts
- Working with EDI Insights software and Microsoft Office
- Maintains patient’s rights to privacy by not discussing privileged information outside the work area (HIPAA Laws).
- Assists with Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program as directed.
- Maintains flexibility and performs other duties as directed by the Billing Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in the medical field and medical terminology preferred
- Ability to comply with patient confidentiality
- Maintains a neat and professional appearance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills (organizational and problem solving skills)
Reports to Billing Office Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
