This role will assist with implementing and managing the corporate food safety program consisting of procedures, and policies as well as monitoring performance
via continuous auditing and quality assessment. They will be accountable for safe working practices, safe food handling practices, safe food handling hygiene, and compliance monitoring; ultimately resulting in effectively reducing risks, developing increased safety awareness, and managing costs. This position will require working closely with all departments within the operation to ensure compliance of corporate safety initiatives, and relaying information to the Corporate Head Office.

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS), where applicable, develop and implement systems specific to Sky Cafe
- Assist base operations with continuous improvement through the application of quality and safety management principles
- Review comprehensive corrective action plans and perform follow-up assessments for effectiveness as necessary
- Ensure all corrective actions put in place by local managers are implemented
- Implement a quality assurance program to validate local procedures are followed
- Monitor compliance with Food Safety Critical Control Points (CCPs)
- Address and communicate any food safety concerns
- Manage the administration of food safety forms for the organization
- Manage Food Traceability program including scheduled exercises and table tops
- Ensure all duties assigned in regards to the food safety program are completed and documented appropriately
- Airline catering experience preferred
- Experience with safe food handling programs/practices preferred
- Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training and certification is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety in the workplace; including safety requirements and reporting methods as per Provincial and Federal Labour Standards
