We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our primary place of business in Foothill Ranch, CA.
At Gatekeeper Systems, Inc., the Human Resources department is focused on understanding what our team members need and knowing how to provide it. The HR Generalist (HRG) supports our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. This role will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as support and guidance to team members and management on HR related matters, recruiting both in-house and partnerships with employment agencies, required federal and state reporting (EEO-1, ACA, etc.), onboarding and offboarding, training and development, compensation and benefits, and payroll functions.

The HRG will work side by side with the Global Director of HR to get things done on a variety of projects.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our team members with human resources questions, such as benefits, PTO, 401(k), etc. and complete requests in an efficient manner.
  • Oversee recruiting and talent acquisition including new hire process, internal communications, communications with candidates, pre-employment, onboarding, and new hire orientation, ensuring compliance and successful entry into Company.
  • Handle administrative tasks for employee life cycle, including onboarding, new hire orientation, exit interviews, including entering data into HRIS and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Benefits Administration
  • Monitor and manage COVID-19 questions to ensure timely responses to inquiries and issues. Update information regularly and distribute to leadership weekly.
  • Assist in communication, interpretation, and upkeep of team member handbooks, organizational charts, and contributes to the development of policies.
  • Solid understanding of general employment law; including EEO, Cal-OSHA, ADA, FMLA/CFRA, PDL and other state and federal requirements.
  • Responsible for the management of the LOA process including tracking all leaves and collect insurance premium during unpaid leave.
  • Generate HR related and various ad hoc, weekly, and monthly HR metrics reports.
  • Conduct workplace investigations.
  • Conduct exit interviews in a timely manner, summarize findings and discuss feedback with the Global Director of HR.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire, turnover rates, etc.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and programs; determines changes to be made and initiates changes to programs to ensure appropriate skills development.
  • Maintains physical and digital employee files.
  • Spearhead internal team communications, team-building and employee engagement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • May include travel up to 10%
