Gateway Construction, LLC is now hiring a Carpenter's Helper for projects in Cheyenne. This role involves supporting carpenters on job sites with tasks like material handling, site preparation and general labor duties. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hardworking, a quick learner and have reliable transportation and basic hand tools. The ability to tolerate year-round exposure to the weather is a must. Prior construction or carpentry experience is a plus.
Carpenter duties include but are not limited to:
- Basic rough framing (interior walls, basement walls, etc.)
- Deck construction
- Stair construction
- Pergola construction
- Exterior porch railing
- Wood window well construction
- Installing siding and exterior trim
- Installation of handrails
- Open stair railing
- Setting interior and exterior doors and windows
- Installing door and window casing and trim
- Installing floor base
- Installing cabinets
- Installing countertops
- Adjusting and repairing cabinets
- Installing corbels
- Installing wood and metal shelving
- Building custom closet shelving
- Benches and decorative book shelving
- Building custom fireplace mantles
- Installing door and window hardware
- Installing bath hardware
- Appliance installation
- Ordering material
- Organizing and maintaining tools
