Seeking Title I Teacher 2023-2024
Gathering Waters is a new K-12 charter school guided by the core principles of public Waldorf education. We opened our doors in September 2021 for grades K-9, and will add a grade to our growing high school each year. The mission of Gathering Waters Chartered Public School is to offer students an education that enables them to discover their interests and capabilities; explore the surrounding world; and cultivate a lifelong love of learning, a sense of community responsibility and understanding of environmental sustainability. We seek a certified special educator who will make the school’s mission accessible to all students in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire.
We seek candidates with proven teaching experience in Title I Teacher and a pioneering spirit who are excited to collaboratively build our school. Ideal candidates possess a strong interest in
Waldorf education, a multi-disciplinary background, and are committed to serving a diverse population of students. This role provides an inspiring opportunity to weave together local public school district special education for student IEPs and 504 accommodations with Waldorf pedagogical focused educational support.
Job Summary: The Title 1 Teacher provides reading instruction for students requiring small group instruction. The Title 1 Teacher is responsible for group and individual instruction in reading for students who meet state and federal guidelines. The Title I Teacher is also responsible for collaborating with teachers and administration regarding the needs and progress as it relates to student achievement. The Title I Teacher will conduct benchmark assessments as directed by the Academic Support Administrator
Responsibilities:
Provide individual or small group instruction.
Communicate and collaborate with school faculty & staff.
Maintain required records.
Conduct benchmark assessments as scheduled.
