  • Responsible for assembly, prep to test, dprep, and test among several commercial engine product lines.
  • Ensure that all work accomplished meets safety, integrity, compliance & quality GE Aerospace standards.
  • Test cell throttle operator responsible for engine operation and cell maintenance.
  • Assist in installing engines in the test stand and setup for test.
  • Assist in the operation of the current family of engines, following approved work requests, and ensuring the engine is operated within published limits.
  • Maintain good communications with support organizations and the team.
  • Contribute to the investigation, diagnose, correction and documentation of engine, instrumentation or system malfunctions.
  • Assist in the interpretation and processing of associated test data.
  • Maintain effective communications with auditors, customers, support organizations and team members.
  • Actively participate in multi-skills development.
  • Ensure that control room display of data and safety limit annunciation is correct and in accordance with test requirements.
  • Participate in test planning efforts and support test in areas of the console, Fadec Monitoring System (FMS), Display Adjustment Panel (DAP) and Portable Data Loader (PDL) operation.
  • Maintain required test cell and engine hardware / software documentation.
  • Assist maintenance and engineering organizations in the maintenance and repair of test facilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree or High School diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.
  • 1 years of experience with aircraft engines.

Desired Characteristics

  • FAA Part 65 Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to perform in a self-directed team environment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, learn, understand, and comply with jet engine maintenance procedures and regulations.
  • Knowledge of borescope.
  • Preliminary Review approved.
  • Designated Inspector.
  • Engine test site operation.
  • Equipment operation, i.e., fork truck, transporter & tug.
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor,, contributes constructively.
  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed.
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative.
