Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Support EHS program initiatives, policies, and practices to drive compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Assist in ergonomic and Lean process improvements and EHS-related projects.
- Lead and support training initiatives for assemblers, operators, and technicians.
- Provide technical guidance and training to employees, customers, and contractors in all areas of environment, health, and safety.
- Maintain knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and ASTM rules and standards.
- Facilitate EHS meetings and training; coordinate and manage meetings focusing on injury reduction, injury prevention activities, and continuous improvement.
- Administer and conduct safety employee engagement activities.
- Support injury reporting, safety concerns, communication of best practices, and data entry into company systems.
- Schedule and conduct regular inspections and track closure of identified areas of improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or a related field (Or High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in an EHS role)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Gensuite.
- Previous experience with cranes and rigging.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Strong project management skills; ability to plan, lead, organize, and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.
- Demonstrated leadership in process improvement.
- Ability to learn computer systems quickly.
- Experience across multiple workstations within assigned production line.
- Self-starter with high energy and a desire for continuous improvement.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to be self-directed and identify improvement processes.
- Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team setting and across functional teams.
- Customer service-oriented, responsive to the needs of internal/external customers.
- The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
