Maintenance Technician

Job Description Summary The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure equipment preventive and corrective maintenance according to manufacturer’s specification and internal standards. X Job Description Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/mechanical, equipment, machines, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Perform preventive maintenance as defined by internal schedule Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical schematics, mechanical schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Be example in respecting Safety and Environmental rules defined per internal procedure Detect and report any deviations which could impart our equipment performance and/or lifetime Suggest improvements to increase equipment and people efficiency Perform any special assignments assigned by the Maintenance Manager to support site Willingness to work in various shifts as needed by the management Requires a flexible work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED Minimum 5 years of experience performing maintenance duties within a manufacturing environment Minimum 2 years of PLC experience Desired Characteristics: Demonstrate superior troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify root cause and resolution of equipment issues Read and interpret equipment schematics and manuals Perform equipment lockout/tag-out activities to safely de-energize equipment in accordance with plant program Proficient computer skills (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, Web interfaces) and responsive, customer-centric communication Strong teamwork and collaboration skills GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business electrifies the world with advanced grid technologies and systems, enabling power transmission and distribution across the power grid, and supporting a decarbonized and secured energy transition.
