Gecko Hospitality is searching for a Restaurant Marketing Director for a DFW-Based Texas BBQ Restaurant group. This local favorite has been around for over 48 years with a legacy of success, achieving 15 consecutive years of positive sales growth. This group takes pride in delivering consistently great BBQs, exceptional service, and clean restaurants while fostering a culture of passion and continuous improvement. As the Marketing Director , you’ll be the steward of the brand, driving strategic marketing initiatives, telling the group’s story, and fostering relationships that elevate its presence in the market. Key Responsibilities :

  • Brand Advocacy & Cultural Engagement : Fall in love with the brand and embody its values and culture. Foster a passion for the brand that inspires employees, customers, and partners. Be “a part of the story” by engaging with the community, building relationships, and promoting the brand authentically.
  • Sales Growth & Market Presence : Focus on achieving 6% comp growth by understanding and influencing market dynamics. Be present in markets to interact with customers, employees, and community stakeholders. Led and implemented the "Blitz" program to target underperforming locations, collaborating across operations, facilities, and marketing to optimize results.
  • Strategic Marketing & Campaign Development : Manage and oversee the annual marketing budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Develop and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, digital, outdoor, and traditional advertising. Collaborate with the catering department to design and implement catering-focused marketing initiatives.
  • Creative & Operational Leadership : Potentially lead a marketing team to execute strategic goals and maintain brand consistency. Contribute to the design of new restaurants, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and messaging. Oversee public relations, SEO, web design and maintenance, and on-premises advertising collateral.

What You Bring to the Table :

  • 5 years of restaurant marketing experience with a growing restaurant group.
  • Passion for the restaurant and hospitality industry with a strong affinity for the Texas BBQ.
  • Proven marketing expertise with a track record of driving sales growth and brand awareness.
  • Experience managing a marketing budget and executing multi-channel campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics and the ability to tailor strategies accordingly.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a marketing team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in social media marketing, digital advertising, SEO, and public relations.
