Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations of our new retail location. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining store profitability through effective inventory control, sales strategies, and team development. The Store Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork and operational excellence.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to foster a motivated team.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management.
- Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control to optimize sales opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring excellent customer service standards.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training & development programs to enhance team skills.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Perform administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and store reporting.
- Coordinate marketing efforts to promote store products and services effectively within the community.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health standards.
- Utilize organizational skills to manage scheduling, shift management, and operational workflows effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail store environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, cash handling, merchandising, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
- Experience with employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development programs.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative tasks related to retail operations.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with marketing techniques relevant to retail settings and sales is advantageous.
- Ability to handle customer service issues professionally using phone etiquette and problem-solving skills.
- Product knowledge & passion of video games, comics, trading cards & other collectibles preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
