As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide direct patient care and clinical support for physicians and other providers in the outpatient setting. You will function as an integral member of the health care team under the direction of the provider.
Responsibilities include preparing patients, collecting and reviewing pertinent information, performing technical duties, documenting using the electronic medical record, and supporting a safe environment for patients. You will also provide administrative and clerical support for the clinic/department, including patient scheduling, filing reports, and following up on documentation, phone calls, and billing inquiries.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a graduate from a specialty training program (preferred), and minimum one year of related work experience (preferred). Certification as a Medical Assistant is required, with basic life support certification within six months.
