Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Assist with medication reminders and administration
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as required
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in assisted living, hospice care, or patient care is preferred
- Strong understanding of ADLs and personal care techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need of care
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and protocols
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
