The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $116,801. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.
- Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes
- Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering. Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency
- Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
- Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems
- Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems
- Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
- Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance
- Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers
- Participates in special projects as required
- Education: BS/BA in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience of 6 years.
- Required Experience: Advanced understanding of DISA guidance; Extensive practical experience with implementing STIG compliance checklists; Comprehensive understanding of the Risk Management Framework
- Required Technical Skills: Technical expert in VMware; SolarWinds; NPS; Radius; CUCM; Professional Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD Approved RMF Baseline Certifications
- Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance
- Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate a technical team to complete the mission; Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines to remain compliant
