Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):
- The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) collaborates with the Director of Nursing (DON)
- Ensure care plans are implemented and delivered in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage the clinical team, develop programs and provide education to staff
- Plan and evaluate nursing systems, rotations and methods with an eye toward improvements

Requirements
of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):
- Current Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), licensed in the State of Illinois
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience as a nurse
- Must have demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of regulations preferred
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing, intermediate or long-term care facility preferred
- Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding for older adults
