Genesis Counseling Center is seeking full time staff with Resident in Counseling Virginia license to provide best-in-class client care by assisting in psychological assessment and interviewing of clients. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: administering psychological assessments under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist/Licensed Professional Counselor, interviewing clients, and drafting psychological reports. Additional opportunities may include group therapy (DBT, child therapy), professional presentations, community outreach, and individual therapy. Applicants must have completed a Masters in Counseling degree, or equivalent, display knowledge of psychological or bio-psychosocial assessment and DSM-V diagnoses. Applicants must display strong written and verbal communication skills, have sound problem-solving and analytical skills, and be able to work professionally under pressure in a team environment. Multi-tasking, time management and interpersonal skills are required. Computer skills, writing skills and flexibility necessary.
Seeking master level Residents seeking supervision hours while working toward Virginia licensure. This position provides continued education and professional development under the close supervision of state approved supervisors. Direct supervision as well as weekly group supervision and didactic trainings in a team environment is provided. No phone calls, please.
