Job Description
OVERVIEW:
A Utility Worker must maintain a clean work area at all times. In many cases, Utility Workers are also responsible for cleaning other areas of a work site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and/or coordinate tasks related to the upkeep of grounds and buildings, including general cleaning tasks.
- Operates wet vacuum, auto scrubber, extractor, high speed buffer, steam cleaner, and other equipment to properly clean and maintain floors and carpets
- Coordinate and/or assist in the repair and maintenance of buildings and equipment
- Check various equipment for proper functioning.
- May perform work with regular tasks, as assigned.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Perform general cleaning / disinfect as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year or more of experience in Floors (stripping and waxing)
- Proven working experience as a janitor
- Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment, as necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 25-100 pounds
- Ability to read cleaning labels
- Ability to work independently
EXPERIENCE:
- Janitorial: 1 year (Preferred)
- Stripping floors: 1 year (Preferred)
- Waxing floors: 1 year (Preferred)
- Buffing floors: 1 year (Preferred)
- Office cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)
AVAILABILITY:
- Night Shift (Typical start time is around 5pm)
