What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fine Dining Server position at Genesis Hospitality?
The Perch at the Peacock Inn, one of Princeton's legacy fine dining restaurants, is hiring experienced fine dining servers and bartenders. Recently renovated, the Perch offers a refined dining experience in an upscale, but comfortable dining room. The wine list is consistently recognized by wine spectator for it's excellence and wide selection. The menu is seasonally driven focusing on American ingredients and modern techniques.
We are seeking Fine Dining Servers. The ideal candidate must be available to work weekends/holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for orchestrating the food and beverage service for a station of tables and being the face of the establishment.
- Ability to develop rapport with guests, and offer a warm, efficient, and thoughtful service.
- Must possess a commanding knowledge and passion about food, wine, spirits, and service in general.
- Ability to execute the restaurant’s vision and philosophy.
- Ability to improvise and make impromptu decisions in accordance with the cycle of service and the restaurant’s policies and standards.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years full service restaurant experience preferred
- Must be creative, team-oriented, and self-motivated
- Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced high-volume environment * Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and time management skills
- Moderate physical efforts required: standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing, lifting of weights up to 50 pounds
- Working conditions involve noise, heat, changes in temperature, kitchen elements, odors, moisture, etc.
- May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing
