Orthopedic Surgeon to provide medical services in Cook County, Dupage County, and Kane County, Illinois. They shall spend 20% of their time (1 day a week) at each of the 5 worksites. The Orthopedic surgeon shall: Conduct orthopedic research; analyze patient outcomes; contribute to clinical trial publications, Examine patients; diagnose conditions via interviews and medical histories, Order/interpret diagnostic tests and imaging; assess patients, Refer to additional services/specialties for comprehensive care, Prescribe durable medical equipment for healing/mobility, Perform surgical procedures (e.g., shoulder reconstruction, ACL repair, carpal tunnel release), Respond to emergency calls; perform emergency surgeries/consultations, Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care, Provide care to underprivileged patients in Chicagoland (Medicare/Medicaid), Manage ~45 patient consultations daily, including post-op/post-discharge, and Communicate with patients/families about diagnoses, treatments, and prognoses.
