Genesys Cloud Services, Inc. seeks Senior Software Engineer in Menlo Park, CA. **Telecommuting allowed for this position.**
Job Description: Build and maintain complex, interconnected web services in public cloud environments. Understand how to monitor services and how to properly triage and repair services running in live production environments. Demonstrate a firm understanding of the best practices for REST API design with a microservice architecture as well as communicate that information in formal documentation to peers and leadership. Demonstrate considerable mastery of either Java spring-based web frameworks or python flask-based web frameworks. Perform code reviews of peers and junior engineers, mentor juniors as needed, and pair up when necessary. Conduct regular audits of services under their purview for test coverage, alerting, monitoring, continuous deployment, root cause analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning, scaleability analysis and vulnerability analysis. Perform regular on-call rotations for AWS issues. Act as liaisons and DevOps evangelists to other service teams by providing them guidance on how to best implement software in AWS, how to follow DevOps best practices including immutability, CI/CD and infrastructure as code, and how to utilize third party software including NewRelic and SumoLogic. Telecommuting allowed for this position.
Minimum Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus five (5) years of experience in a computer-related occupation. Position requires at least five (5) years of experience in Java and the Java technology ecosystem; and any amount of experience in all the following:
Salary range: $215,197.00 - $265,197.00.
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$106,050.00 - $208,050.00
