What are the responsibilities and job description for the CSP Tech position at Geneva General Hospital?
Under the leadership of the Central Sterile Processing Supervisor, demonstrates competency in indentification, decontamination, processing and sterilization of surgical instruments including endoscopy scopes. Has a thorough understanding of processing and sterilization of surgical instruments and endoscopy scopes. Has a thorough understanding of processing equipment, including but not limited to, sterilizers,washer decontaminators, medivators and ultra sonic cleaners following a detailed orientation.
Minimum:
- High School education or equivalent.
- Certification as Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) and/or Certification in Endoscope Reprocessing (CER)
LICENSE:
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Central Sterile Technician certification (CRCST) requirement within 12 months of hire.
- Certification in Endoscope Reprocessing (CER)within 24 months of hire.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
- Previous experience in sterile processing and/or previous experience processing endoscopy scopes.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
- Conscientious regard for technical and minute procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
Compensation: $21.63 - $24.02
