- Maintain and support the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems.
- This role encompasses comprehensive systems administration responsibilities, including system planning, deployment, user acceptance testing, and management of production environments. The successful candidate will ensure a seamless transition from development phases to final production while maintaining the operational integrity of the systems.
- Key responsibilities include administering both physical and virtual resources, such as Web Servers, Application Servers, Database Servers, Authentication Servers, and License Servers.
- The focus of this role is on "back-end" or infrastructure systems administration, requiring a strong foundation in server environments and systems maintenance. The System Administrator II will be responsible for routine systems maintenance tasks, including system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance, to ensure uptime and efficient performance. This includes acquiring, installing, and testing system software upgrades and computer components, as well as configuring software and resolving technical problems.
- In addition to general systems administration, the candidate will support a suite of IBM Rational and Jazz family products, including Engineering Lifecycle Management, Engineering Workflow Management, Engineering Test Management, and more. They will provide IBM-related service desk support and handle PTC’s Windchill system and server maintenance, offering technical service support and handling Windchill service desk responsibilities.
- CSWF Designation: IAT Level 1 Required
- Four (4) years System Administration Experience
- Must have substantial experience in systems administration, with particular expertise in IBM and Windchill products.
- Possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- The role also involves maintaining documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures, requiring effective communication skills for user support and team collaboration. This position is vital for ensuring the stability and efficiency of our system infrastructures, in alignment with organizational objectives and user requirements.
